Bluefields has two universities. BICU (Bluefields Indian and Caribbean University) is near the center of town with a nice restaurant close by which has quite a view across Bluefields Bay. A short boat ride from downtown Bluefields across the bay is El Bluff, visible in the distance in this photo...a gateway to the Caribbean.
